Effective detection of diesel leaks in bunded tanks
We have designed the Bunded Tank Oil Leak Detection Alarm to continuosly monitor for oil or diesel leaks in a bunded tank. An advanced optical sensor is fitted in between the inner and outer layers (void). When a leak is detected the Alarm unit will promptly flash, indicating an active “Bund Tank Alarm.” Simultaneously, an internal audible warning will sound, immediately drawing attention to the leak.

Advantages of Our Bunded Tank Leak Detector
We have designed the ODT2-1 Alarm for seamless integration with your existing alarm systems, including a PLC or a Building Management System (BMS). You have the added option of connecting a remote flashing beacon/beacon sounder, significantly enhancing visibility. Additionally, you can install an SMS text messaging unit which can text up to 3 users warning them of a leak.
Furthermore, we offer the option to upgrade the Alarm unit by equipping it with a second sensor. This upgrade enables you to establish a high, high alarm. This is capable of sounding an alarm during a filling operation, when the liquid level nears the top of the tank. Another option is to have the second sensor within a second tank, providing enhanced flexibility and expanded coverage.
Our bunded oil leak detection alarm has been thoughtfully engineered in the event of a power loss. In this circumstance, the internal volt-free “Common Alarm” BMS contact will promptly change its state, ensuring that you are promptly notified of the situation.

How It Works: Principle of Total Internal Reflection
Our cutting-edge tank oil leak detection system operates on the principle of total internal reflection, ensuring precise and accurate results. This innovative technology incorporates an LED and photo-transistor, both securely housed within a robust plastic dome made of Polysulfone.
